SPORTS: Guinness World Records set at the All-Star Jam 2010

NBA All-Star Jam presented by Adidas provides fans and players with the opportunity to interact and show their basketball skills. This event is also the perfect place to break some world records. 2K Sports were up for the challenge of giving everyone who stopped by a chance to get into the Guinness World Records book.

Dwight Howard attempted to set the record for the longest basketball shot made while sitting on the court and failed in Phoenix in 2009 but at the All-star Jam 2010 in Dallas, he made the shot from 42 ft and then did it again and hit the basket from 52 ft 6 in.

Other records broken at the NBA All-Star Game included the new Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a basketball game with 108,713 people present. A new free throw record by Rick Rosser with 68 free throws in two minutes and Jeff Harris managed to make 44 free throws. The record to brake was 64 since 2009 by Justin Kittredge!!

For the last two years Guinness world records has partnered with 2K Sports and their official NBA video game to test the skills of all those aspiring pro-gamers.

Young Wesley Parker got the most steals in a videogame. Andrew Frost and J.R. Wiley completing 16 assists got the most assists in the same four minute time frame.Brandon McJunlain and Cody Redrick played and conquered. They were the first in and racked up 17 points almost simultaneously and no-one was able to beat their highest score in two minutes.
